Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The M74HC4511 is a high-speed CMOS BCD-to-7 segment latch/decoder/driver using silicon gate C2MOS technology.

· It features a segment output driver with high IOH capability for direct driving of common cathode LEDs.

· Includes functions for lamp test (LT) and blanking (BI) to test display functionality.

· BI input allows for pulse-modulated brightness control of the display.

· All segment outputs turn off when an error code (over 10) is applied to the BCD input.

· Equipped with protection circuits against static discharge and transient excess voltage.



FEATURES

· High speed with typical propagation delay of 23ns at 6V.

· Low power consumption with maximum ICC of 4µA at 25°C.

· High noise immunity with VNIH and VNIL at 28% of VCC minimum.

· High surge current capability with |IOH| minimum of 20mA.

· Balanced propagation delays with tPLH approximately equal to tPHL.

· Wide operating voltage range from 2V to 6V.

· Pin and function compatible with the 74 series.
