DESCRIPTION

· The MAX16065/MAX16066 are flash-configurable system managers designed to monitor and sequence multiple system voltages.

· They feature a dedicated high-side current-sense amplifier for accurate current monitoring (±2.5%).

· The MAX16065 manages up to twelve system voltages, while the MAX16066 handles up to eight.

· These devices include a selectable differential or single-ended ADC and configurable outputs for power supply sequencing.

· Configuration data, including overvoltage and undervoltage limits, timing settings, and sequencing order, is stored in nonvolatile flash memory.

· Fault flags and channel voltages are automatically stored in nonvolatile memory during fault conditions.

· The internal 1% accurate 10-bit ADC measures inputs and compares them to configurable limits, asserting a fault signal when limits are exceeded.

· Up to three independent fault output signals can be configured to assert under various fault conditions.

· The devices support a power-supply voltage of up to 14V, allowing direct powering from a 12V intermediate bus.

· An integrated sequencer provides precise control over the power-up and power-down order of power supplies.

· Eight outputs (EN_OUT1–EN_OUT8) are configurable with charge-pump outputs to drive external n-channel MOSFETs.

· The MAX16065/MAX16066 include eight/six programmable GPIOs, configurable as dedicated fault outputs, watchdog input/output, or manual reset.

· Nonvolatile fault memory records information during system shutdown events, with a lock bit protecting stored data.

· Configuration is done via SMBus or JTAG serial interface.

· The MAX16065 is available in a 48-pin TQFN package, and the MAX16066 in a 40-pin TQFN package, both operating from -40°C to +85°C.

· Flash-configurable time delays and thresholds.

· Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
