DESCRIPTION

· The MAX6695/MAX6696 are precise digital temperature sensors measuring local and two remote diode-connected transistor temperatures.

· They report temperatures digitally via a 2-wire serial interface compatible with SMBus commands.

· Features include programmable conversion rates, SMBus timeout, and overtemperature indicators OT1 and OT2 for system control.

· Temperature measurement range is from -40°C to +125°C with remote sensing accuracy of ±1.5°C between +60°C and +100°C.



FEATURES

· Measures one local and two remote temperatures with 11-bit resolution and ±0.125°C accuracy.

· High accuracy of ±1.5°C (max) from +60°C to +100°C for remote sensing.

· ACPI compliant with programmable under/overtemperature alarms.

· Includes three alarm outputs: ALERT, OT1, and OT2, and an SMBus/I2C-compatible interface.

· Compatible with 65nm process technology (Y versions).
