DESCRIPTION

· The MC34164 series are undervoltage sensing circuits designed for reset controllers in portable microprocessor-based systems requiring extended battery life.

· They provide an economical solution for low voltage detection using a single external resistor.

· These devices feature a bandgap reference, a comparator with precise thresholds, built-in hysteresis, and an open collector reset output capable of sinking over 6.0 mA.

· They operate down to 1.0 V input with extremely low standby current.

· Available in 3-pin TO-92, TSOP-5, SOIC-8, and Micro8 packages.
