DESCRIPTION

· NCP373 is an over-voltage and over-current protection device.

· It acts as a load switch protection from IN to VBUS with programmable current regulation.

· Current protection is externally adjustable up to 400 mA or 1300 mA.

· Additional voltage protection is available from VBUS to IN.

· Built-in low R DS(on) NMOS FET protects the host system against positive and negative voltages up to ±28 V.

· Embedded over-current and over-voltage protection sustains extreme conditions from short circuits on USB connectors or defective ports.

· Internal NMOS minimizes system cost and PCB area.

· Provides a negative going flag (FLAG) output to alert the system of a fault.
