DESCRIPTION

· The NCT1008 is a dual-channel digital thermometer with undertemperature/overtemperature alarm, designed for PCs and thermal management systems.

· It features series resistance cancellation up to 1.5 kΩ, allowing noise filtering in temperature monitoring.

· It measures remote thermal diode temperature with ±1°C accuracy and ambient temperature with ±3°C accuracy.

· The device communicates via a 2-wire SMBus/I2C interface, with default address 0x4C.

FEATURES

· On-chip and remote temperature sensing with 0.25°C resolution on remote channel and 1°C on local channel.

· Extended temperature measurement range switchable between 0°C to +127°C and -64°C to +191°C.

· Register-compatible with ADM1032 and ADT7461, with programmable over/undertemperature limits.

· Features two overtemperature fail-safe THERM outputs and operates with 240 µA current, 5 µA in standby.
