DESCRIPTION

· The NCP360 is a USB positive overvoltage protection controller with an internal PMOS FET and status FLAG. It disconnects systems at its output upon detecting incorrect VBUS conditions at the input, offering protection up to +20 V. The integrated PMOS FET eliminates the need for external devices, reducing system cost and PCB area. It features instantaneous disconnection if the input voltage exceeds the overvoltage threshold (OVLO) and provides a negative-going FLAG output to alert of faults. The device also includes ESD-protected inputs (15 kV Air) when bypassed with a 1 µF or larger capacitor.
