Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The NXP SA56004X is an SMBus-compatible, 11-bit digital temperature sensor with local and remote monitoring capabilities.

· It supports overtemperature alarms and can monitor diode junctions, such as those in microprocessors or transistors.

· The device features factory trimming for ±1°C accuracy and programmable alert thresholds for temperature range violations.

· It includes an SMBus time-out protocol for enhanced system reliability and is available in SO8, TSSOP8, and HVSON8 packages.



FEATURES

· Accurate remote temperature sensing within ±1°C and on-chip local sensing within ±2°C.

· Operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C with 11-bit, 0.125°C resolution.

· Offers 8 different device addresses and is address-compatible with LM86, MAX6657/8, and ADM1032.

· Features programmable under/overtemperature alarms, SMBus 2.0 compatibility, and an operating voltage range of 3.0V to 3.6V.

· Supports I2C-bus Standard-mode and Fast-mode, with programmable conversion rates from 0.0625 Hz to 26 Hz.
