DESCRIPTION
· The NXP SA56004X is an SMBus-compatible, 11-bit remote/local digital temperature sensor with overtemperature alarms.
· It monitors remote diode junctions (e.g., microprocessor substrate PNP or diode-connected transistors like 2N3904/2N3906) with ±1°C accuracy.
· Features programmable under/overtemperature alert thresholds and T_CRIT output for system interrupts or shutdown triggers.
· Available in SO8, TSSOP8, and HVSON8 packages with 8 factory-programmed device addresses.
· Pin-compatible with LM86, MAX6657/8, and ADM1032.
FEATURES
· Remote temperature sensing accuracy: ±1°C; on-chip local sensing accuracy: ±2°C.
· Temperature range: -40°C to +125°C with 11-bit, 0.125°C resolution.
· Programmable under/overtemperature alarms (ALERT and T_CRIT).
· SMBus 2.0-compatible interface with TIMEOUT support.
· Operating voltage: 3.0 V to 3.6 V; compatible with I2C-bus Standard-mode and Fast-mode.
· Programmable conversion rate: 0.0625 Hz to 26 Hz.
· Undervoltage lockout prevents erroneous readings; latch-up testing exceeds JEDEC Standard JESD78.
