DESCRIPTION
· The TEA1720BT is a cost-effective SMPS controller IC for low-power applications up to 12.5 W, operating directly from rectified mains input.
· Optimized for flyback converters, it ensures high efficiency across all load ranges and ultra-low power consumption in no-load conditions.
· Features primary-side sensing for output voltage regulation, eliminating the need for secondary feedback circuitry.
· Supports fast start-up from rectified mains voltage without external bleeder circuits.
· Operates in Burst mode at low power levels, reducing audible noise and no-load power consumption to <20 mW.
· Provides fast transient response when paired with the TEA1705 transient controller.
