DESCRIPTION

· The UCC280x family is a series of high-speed, low-power BiCMOS current-mode PWM controllers designed for efficient power management in various applications.

· These controllers are optimized for off-line and DC-to-DC fixed frequency current-mode switching power supplies, requiring minimal external components.

· They feature internal soft start, internal fault soft start, and internal leading-edge blanking of the current-sense signal, enhancing reliability and performance.

· Compatible with the UC3842 and UC3842A pinout, they offer a seamless upgrade path with additional functionalities.



FEATURES

· Low starting supply current of 100 μA and operating supply current of 500 μA, ensuring energy efficiency.

· High-frequency operation up to 1 MHz, suitable for compact and high-performance designs.

· Robust 1-A totem-pole output with a fast 70-ns response time from current-sense to gate drive output.

· Precision 1.5% tolerance voltage reference for accurate voltage regulation.



APPLICATIONS
