MPS20WGW Model Information

Overview

The MPS20WGW is a standard surface mount magnetic proximity sensor with screw terminals. It features a 1/4" make gap, making it suitable for applications requiring precise and reliable sensing in a compact form factor.

• Electrical Circuit: SPST NO (Contact Form A). The reed switch opens when the magnet is removed from proximity and closes when the magnet is within the actuation range.

• Operating Distance/Alignment: Operate (pull-in or make) points are nominal values with ±10% tolerance. Release points are 110% to 150% of the operating points.

• Magnets: Alnico V (all models, except MPS80WG) and Ceramic Ferrite 8 (MPS80WG model only).

• Offset of Centerlines and Distance Between Faces of Switch and Magnet: 0.25" (6.35mm) max.

Installation Notes

• Ensure the switch and magnet are parallel or end to end, and never in a 'T' configuration.
• Proper alignment is crucial for optimal performance. Use alignment dots for surface mount installations.
