DESCRIPTION

· The A8724 is a robust Xenon photoflash solution designed for a wide range of cameras.

· It supports a broad battery voltage range, making it suitable for cameras using 2 or 4 cell Alkaline batteries and 1 or 2 cell Lithium-ion batteries.

· Features an integrated 55 V DMOS switch for ample design margin.

· Available in a compact 3 mm × 3 mm MLP/TDFN package, ideal for space-constrained applications.

FEATURES

· Wide battery voltage range: 1.5 to 11 V.

· Low quiescent current draw: 1 µA max in shutdown mode.

· Flexible current limit set by an external resistor (0.7 to 1.5 A) with optional single-wire programming via the CHARGE pin.

· Integrated protection features: ISET open/short protection and open diode/secondary winding protection.

· Charge Complete indication and flexible IGBT driver with separate sink and source pins.
