DESCRIPTION

· The ADM485 is a differential line transceiver for high-speed bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines.

· It complies with EIA standards RS-485 and RS-422, featuring a differential line driver and receiver that can be enabled independently.

· Operates from a single 5 V power supply with thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection.

· Supports up to 32 transceivers on a bus, with high impedance when disabled to minimize bus loading.

· Fabricated on BiCMOS technology, offering low power and fast switching speeds, with ESD protection on all inputs and outputs.
