DESCRIPTION
· The AS1506 is a 256-tap digital potentiometer designed to replace mechanical potentiometers.
· It features a low-temperature-coefficient variable resistor, ideal for low-drift and programmable gain applications.
· Controlled via a 3-wire SPI-compatible interface with data rates up to 5MHz.
· Includes an internal EEPROM for storing wiper positions, ensuring initialization at power-up.
· Available in an 8-pin TDFN 3x3mm package with end-to-end resistance options of 10kΩ, 50kΩ, and 100kΩ.
FEATURES
· High endurance EEPROM with up to 10M cycles and 150 years data retention at 85°C.
· 256 tap positions with ±0.5LSB DNL and INL in voltage divider mode.
· Low end-to-end resistance temperature coefficient of 90ppm/°C.
· Low-power standby mode consuming only 100nA.
· Single-supply operation from +2.7V to +5.5V.
