DESCRIPTION

· The MCP41XX and MCP42XX devices provide a versatile range of digital potentiometers and rheostats with SPI interface support.

· They feature 7-bit and 8-bit resistor networks, offering configurations for both potentiometer and rheostat applications.



FEATURES

· Single or dual resistor network options with potentiometer or rheostat configurations.

· Resistor network resolutions include 7-bit (128 resistors) and 8-bit (256 resistors).

· Available RAB resistances: 5 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, and 100 kΩ.

· Low wiper resistance of 75 Ω and low temperature coefficient.

· SPI serial interface with high-speed read/write capabilities.

· Resistor network terminal disconnect feature via shutdown pin or terminal control register.

· Brown-out reset protection and high-voltage tolerant digital inputs up to 12.5V.

· Wide operating voltage range from 1.8V to 5.5V and extended temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.
