DESCRIPTION

· The AD8400/AD8402/AD8403 are single-, dual-, or quad-channel, 256-position, digitally controlled variable resistor devices.

· They replace mechanical potentiometers or variable resistors for electronic adjustment.

· Available in compact SOIC-8, SOIC-14, and 24-lead PDIP, SOIC, and TSSOP packages.

· Each device contains a fixed resistor with a wiper contact, programmable via a digital code.

· Resistance varies linearly with the digital code, offering programmable values between terminals A and B.

· Fixed A-to-B terminal resistances include 1 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, or 100 kΩ with ±1% channel-to-channel matching and 500 ppm/°C temperature coefficient.
