Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The AD5204/AD5206 are 4-/6-channel, 256-position digitally controlled variable resistor devices.

· They perform electronic adjustment functions similar to potentiometers or variable resistors.

· Each channel features a fixed resistor with a wiper contact, adjustable via a digital code loaded into an SPI-compatible serial-input register.

· The resistance between the wiper and either endpoint varies linearly with the digital code.

· Available in 24-lead SOIC, TSSOP, and 32-lead LFCSP packages, operating from -40°C to +85°C.



FEATURES

· 256-position resolution for precise control.

· Multiple independently programmable channels: 4-channel (AD5204) and 6-channel (AD5206).

· Terminal resistance options: 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, 100 kΩ.

· 3-wire SPI-compatible serial data input for easy integration.

· Single-supply operation (+2.7 V to +5.5 V) and dual-supply operation (±2.7 V).

· Power-on midscale preset for consistent startup behavior.
