DESCRIPTION

· The CY8C95xxA is a multi-port I/O expander with onboard user-available EEPROM and PWM outputs.

· It operates as two I2C slave devices: a multi-port I/O expander and a serial EEPROM.

· The I/O expander's data pins can be independently assigned as inputs, outputs, quasi-bidirectional I/Os, or PWM outputs.

· The EEPROM supports byte-by-byte reading and writing, with an optional write disable (WD) input.

· The device supports up to 128 devices on a common I2C bus using an extendable soft addressing algorithm.



FEATURES

· I2C interface logic compatible with SMBus.

· Up to 20 (CY8C9520A), 40 (CY8C9540A), or 60 (CY8C9560A) I/O data pins.

· 4/8/16 PWM sources with 8-bit resolution.

· Internal 3-/11-/27-Kbyte EEPROM for user default storage and I/O port settings.

· Interrupt output for input pin level changes and PWM state changes.

· Internal power-on reset (POR) and configurable watchdog timer.
