DESCRIPTION
· The TCA6424A is a 24-bit I/O expander designed for the I2C interface, facilitating general-purpose remote I/O expansion across various microcontroller families.
· It supports a wide VCC range from 1.65 V to 5.5 V, enabling compatibility with next-generation microprocessors and microcontrollers, particularly those with reduced power supply levels.
· The device is capable of bidirectional voltage-level translation and GPIO expansion, making it versatile for interfacing with components operating at different voltage levels.
FEATURES
· Operates within a power-supply voltage range of 1.65 V to 5.5 V.
· Supports bidirectional voltage-level translation between SCL/SDA and P Port across multiple voltage levels (1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, 5 V).
· Features low standby current consumption of 1 μA and Schmitt-Trigger action for enhanced noise immunity.
· Includes 5-V tolerant I/O ports, an active-low reset input, and an open-drain active-low interrupt output.
· Equipped with a 400-kHz Fast I2C Bus, input/output configuration register, and polarity inversion register.
· Provides internal power-on reset, noise filter on SCL/SDA inputs, and latched outputs with high-current drive capability for LED driving.
