DESCRIPTION

· The MAX7301 is a compact, serial-interfaced I/O expander providing up to 28 ports.
· Each port is individually configurable as a logic input or output.
· Ports can be set as push-pull logic outputs or Schmitt logic inputs with optional internal pullup.
· Seven ports feature configurable transition detection logic for interrupt generation.
· Controlled via an SPI-compatible 4-wire serial interface.
· Available in 28-pin SSOP, 36-pin SSOP, and 40-pin TQFN packages.

· Industry-standard 4-wire interface for I/O port expansion.
· High-speed, 26MHz, SPI-/QSPI™-/MICROWIRE®-compatible serial interface.
· Operates from 2.25V to 5.5V.
· 20 or 28 I/O ports configurable as push-pull logic outputs or Schmitt logic inputs.
· Logic transition detection for seven I/O ports.
· Low power consumption with a maximum shutdown current of 11μA.
