DESCRIPTION

· The ISL9209C is an integrated circuit designed to provide redundant safety protection for Li-ion batteries in charging systems.

· It monitors input voltage, battery voltage, and charge current, and disconnects power via an internal P-Channel MOSFET if any parameter exceeds its limit.

· The IC also monitors its internal temperature, shutting off the MOSFET if the temperature exceeds +140°C.

· It offers triple-level protection and is two-fault tolerant when used with a battery charger IC and a protection module.

· The IC features a logic warning output to indicate faults and an enable input to allow system control over input power removal.
