DESCRIPTION

· The ISL99227 and ISL99227B are Smart Power Stage (SPS) modules compatible with ISL68xxx/69xxx Digital Multiphase (DMP) controllers and phase doubler (ISL6617A).

· They integrate high accuracy current and temperature monitors for multiphase DC/DC systems.

· These modules simplify design and enhance performance by eliminating the DCR sensing network and associated thermal compensation.

· They feature a 3.3V or 5.0V compatible tri-state PWM input and support up to 2MHz switching frequency.

· The modules come in a thermally enhanced 5x5 PQFN package, minimizing PCB space.

FEATURES

· Input voltage range: +4.5V to +18V.

· Supports up to 60A DC current.

· ISL99227 has a 3.3V compatible tri-state PWM input; ISL99227B has a 5.0V compatible tri-state PWM input.

· Downslope current sensing with ±3% accuracy current monitor (IMON) and REFIN input.

· 8mV/°C temperature monitor with OT flag.

· Dedicated low-side FET control input.

· Comprehensive fault protection including high-side FET short, overcurrent, over-temperature, and UVLO.

· Open-drain fault reporting output.

· RoHS compliant with Exemption 7a, 32 Ld 5x5 PQFN.
