DESCRIPTION

· The KTS1622 is a 16-bit general-purpose I/O expander designed for microcontrollers requiring additional I/Os with minimal interconnections. It supports an I2C Fast-mode Plus specification up to 1MHz and operates with separate power rails for the I2C bus and I/O ports, both ranging from 1.65V to 5.5V. This feature allows it to function in mixed power systems where the I2C bus power is not compatible with the I/O port power. The device includes external reset input, internal power-on reset, and I2C software reset for flexible reset options. It is available in RoHS and Green compliant packages: a 25-ball 2.0mm x 2.0mm FO-WLP and a 24-pin 4.0mm x 4.0mm TQFN.
