DESCRIPTION

· The MAX4820/MAX4821 are 8-channel relay drivers with built-in kickback protection, designed to drive +3.3V/+5V non-latching or dual-coil-latching relays.

· Each open-drain output has a 2 Ω on-resistance and can sink a minimum of 70mA load current.

· The devices feature low quiescent current (less than 50µA max) and low output off-leakage current (1µA).

· The MAX4820 includes an SPI-/QSPI-/MICROWIRE-compatible serial interface, while the MAX4821 has a 4-bit parallel-input interface.

· Both devices offer separate set and reset functions for simultaneous control of all outputs.

· Available in 20-pin TSSOP and 20-pin thin QFN packages.
