DESCRIPTION

· The MCP41XX and MCP42XX devices are SPI interface-based digital potentiometers offering versatile resistor network configurations.

· They support both 7-bit and 8-bit resistor networks, available in potentiometer and rheostat configurations.

· These devices are designed for a wide range of applications, featuring various package types including PDIP, SOIC, MSOP, and TSSOP.



FEATURES

· Single or dual resistor network options with potentiometer or rheostat configurations.

· Resistor network resolutions of 7-bit (128 resistors) and 8-bit (256 resistors).

· Available RAB resistances: 5 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, and 100 kΩ.

· Low wiper resistance (75 Ω typical) and low temperature coefficient.

· SPI serial interface with high-speed read/write capabilities and SDI/SDO multiplexing.

· Features include resistor network terminal disconnect, brown-out reset protection, and high-voltage tolerant digital inputs.

· Wide operating voltage range from 2.7V to 5.5V, with extended temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.
