DESCRIPTION

· The PI4IOE5V9538 is an 8-bit I2C-bus GPIO expander with interrupt and reset functionality.

· It provides 8 bits of General Purpose parallel Input/Output expansion for I2C-bus/SMBus applications.

· Features include higher driving capability, 5V tolerance, lower power supply, individual I/O configuration, and compact packaging.

· It includes an 8-bit configuration register, two 8-bit polarity registers, and open-drain interrupt output.

· The device supports power-on reset and has a reset pin for initialization without depowering.

· Two hardware pins (A0 and A1) allow up to four devices to share the same I2C-bus/SMBus.

· Operates with a power supply voltage from 2.3V to 5.5V.
