DESCRIPTION

· The Aero™+ transceiver is a complete RF front end for multi-band GSM and GPRS wireless communications.

· It eliminates the need for external IF SAW filters or VCO modules, integrating all functions on-chip to reduce board area and component count.

· Features a digitally-controlled crystal oscillator (DCXO) integrating the reference oscillator and varactor.

· Low-IF receiver with dual or triple-band LNA and image-reject down-converter.

· Universal baseband interface with digital IF to baseband converter, channel filter, gain control, and analog or digital I/Q interface.

· Offset-PLL transmitter with integrated TX VCO and loop filter.

· Dual RF synthesizer with integrated RF and IF VCOs, loop filters, varactors, and resonators.

· Integrated reference oscillator operating at 13 or 26 MHz.

· Quad-band support for GSM 850, E-GSM 900, DCS 1800, and PCS 1900.

· GPRS Class 12 compliant.

· CMOS process technology.

· Low profile packages: Si4200 (5 x 5 mm MLP32), Si4201 (4 x 4 mm MLP20), Si4134T (5 x 5 mm MLP32).

· 3-wire serial interface.

· Operates at 2.7 V to 3.0 V.
