The ILD8150E from Infineon Technologies is an advanced LED driver IC that utilizes hybrid dimming technology. Designed to achieve dimming down to 0.5% of the target current, it supports a wide input voltage range from 8V DC to 80V DC. This makes it well-suited for applications operating near SELV (Safety Extra-Low Voltage) thresholds, ensuring enhanced safety in low-voltage environments.
The ILD8150E is ideal for both general and professional lighting applications that require precise and deep dimming performance. It delivers smooth, flicker-free dimming with no visible artifacts or audible noise.
The driver supports PWM input signals ranging from 250 Hz to 20 kHz for analog dimming, providing output currents from 100% down to 12.5%. For lower dimming levels (12.5% to 0.5%), it switches to hybrid dimming mode using high-frequency modulation at 3.4 kHz, ensuring flicker-free operation even at ultra-low brightness.
