DESCRIPTION

· The CPS-16, with device number IDT80KSW0002, is a 16-port Serial RapidIO (sRIO) switch designed for efficient packet routing among DSPs, processors, FPGAs, and other sRIO-based devices. It supports serial RapidIO backplane switching and can handle unicast, multicast, and optional broadcast packet switching across its 16 input and output ports.

FEATURES

· Interfaces: Supports 16 bidirectional sRIO lanes (v1.3) with selectable port speeds of 3.125Gbps, 2.5Gbps, or 1.25Gbps. Configurable port count up to sixteen 1x ports, four 4x ports, or combinations thereof. Supports short and long haul reach for each PHY speed.

· Performance: Offers 40 Gbps peak switching bandwidth, non-blocking data flow architecture, and very low latency. Includes internal queuing and retransmit buffers, and supports standard receiver-based physical layer flow control.

· Additional Features: Configurable for Cut Through or Store And Forward data flow. Device configuration via sRIO ports, I2C, or JTAG. Includes packet trace and filter capabilities, supports up to 10 simultaneous multicast masks, and features port loopback debug. Software-assisted error recovery, hot swap support, and PMON counters for monitoring and diagnostics.
