DESCRIPTION

· The CPS-16, identified as IDT80KSW0002, is a 16-port Serial RapidIO (sRIO) switch designed for efficient packet routing among DSPs, processors, FPGAs, and other sRIO-based devices, including serial RapidIO backplane switching.

FEATURES

· Supports 16 bidirectional sRIO lanes compliant with v1.3, offering selectable port speeds of 3.125Gbps, 2.5Gbps, or 1.25Gbps.

· Configurable port setup up to sixteen 1x ports, four 4x ports, or a mix of both, supporting both short and long haul reach.

· Features include non-blocking data flow, low latency, internal queuing, and retransmit buffers, with standard receiver-based physical layer flow control.

· Device configuration via sRIO ports, I2C, or JTAG, with packet trace and filter capabilities, and support for up to 10 multicast masks.

· Includes port loopback for debugging, software-assisted error recovery, and individual port power management.

· Equipped with PMON counters for diagnostics, SerDes physical diagnostic registers, and embedded PRBS generation for BER testing.

· Built on 0.13um technology with low power dissipation, full JTAG Boundary Scan Support, and housed in a 324-ball grid array package.
