DESCRIPTION

· The CAT5114 is a single digitally programmable potentiometer designed to replace mechanical potentiometers and trim pots.

· It is ideal for automated adjustments on high-volume production lines and applications requiring periodic adjustment in hazardous or remote environments.

· The device features a 32-tap series resistor array connected between terminals RH and RL, with a wiper position controlled by an up/down counter and decoder.

· The wiper setting is stored in nonvolatile memory, ensuring it is retained during power-down and automatically reinstated upon power return.

· Wiper control is managed via three input pins: CS, U/D, and INC.
