DESCRIPTION

· The PCA9655E is a 16-bit I/O expander for the I2C-bus/SMBus, designed to provide GPIO expansion.

· It includes two 8-bit configuration registers for input/output selection and polarity inversion.

· Features an open-drain interrupt output activated by input state changes.

· Supports up to 64 devices on the same I2C-bus/SMBus with three hardware address pins.

FEATURES

· Operating voltage range: 1.65 V to 5.5 V.

· 5.5 V tolerant I/Os with 30 mA SDA sink capability.

· Includes polarity inversion and active LOW interrupt output.

· Low standby current and noise filter on SCL/SDA inputs.

· Supports I2C clock frequencies up to 1 MHz.

· ESD protection: 2000 V Human Body Model, 200 V Machine Model.
