DESCRIPTION

· The PCA9655E is a 16-bit I/O expander for the I2C bus with interrupt functionality.

· It provides GPIO expansion through the I2C-bus/SMBus.

· The device includes two 8-bit configuration registers for input/output selection and polarity inversion.

· All I/Os default to inputs at power-on.

· The interrupt output is activated when any input state differs from its corresponding input port register state.

· VDD Operating Range: 1.65 V to 5.5 V.

· SDA Sink Capability: 30 mA.

· 5.5 V Tolerant I/Os.

· Polarity Inversion Register.

· Active LOW Interrupt Output.

· Noise Filter on SCL/SDA Inputs.

· No Glitch on Power-up.

· Internal Power-on Reset.

· 64 Programmable Slave Addresses Using Three Address Pins.
