DESCRIPTION

· The PCA9703 is a low-power, 18 V tolerant SPI General Purpose Input (GPI) shift register designed for monitoring switch inputs.
· It supports up to 16 switch inputs and generates interrupts upon state changes, with an interrupt masking feature to exclude specific inputs.
· Inputs are recognized as HIGH when greater than 0.8×VDD and LOW when less than 0.55×VDD, with a minimum LOW threshold of 2.5 V at 5 V.
· Features include 18 V breakdown ESD protection, compatibility with automotive conditions, and a low IDD of 2.5 µA max.
· The device supports SPI serial interface up to 5 MHz and daisy-chain connections for scalability.
