DESCRIPTION



· The LX24232 is a 32-channel display backlight LED controller, part of a chipset including the LX23108 8-channel LED driver.

· It controls up to 32 LED channels by managing up to 4 LX23108 drivers, each capable of driving 8 channels at up to 200mA per channel.

· Features 32 independent PWM output channels with frame-by-frame control, supporting independent duty-cycle and phase delay adjustments.

· Includes on-chip power supply control to optimize LED voltage, minimizing power loss while maintaining precise current regulation.

· Equipped with an SPI interface for efficient communication with host systems and supports daisy chaining for expanded channel control.

· Detects and protects against system faults like over-temperature, open LEDs, and short LEDs on each channel.

· 32 PWM channels with 12-bit resolution for duty-cycle and phase delay control, optimized for 3D applications.

· Supports single or multiple PWM cycles per frame with configurable synchronization to Vsync edges.

· Advanced Vsync jitter and loss of Vsync support, ensuring stable operation under varying conditions.

· On-chip DAC for power supply trimming and A/D converter for drain voltage measurements.

· Provides ±1.5% current matching precision and 8-bit current setting resolution.

· Comprehensive protection features including thermal monitoring, open string, and short LED detection.
