DESCRIPTION

· The TPS61160 and TPS61161 are boost converters designed to drive LEDs in series, featuring a 40-V rated integrated switch FET.

· They operate at a fixed switching frequency of 600 kHz to minimize output ripple and enhance conversion efficiency, allowing for the use of smaller external components.

· LED current is set via an external sensor resistor RSET, with feedback voltage regulated to 200 mV.

· Current control is achievable through a one-wire digital interface (EasyScale™ protocol) or PWM signal via the CTRL pin, without generating audible noise.

· Integrated open LED protection prevents output voltage from exceeding maximum ratings during open LED conditions.

· Available in a compact 2-mm × 2-mm WSON package with a thermal pad.



FEATURES

· Input voltage range from 2.7 V to 18 V.

· Open LED protection up to 26 V for TPS61160 and 38 V for TPS61161.

· 200 mV reference voltage with ±2% accuracy.

· Supports flexible digital and PWM brightness control.

· Built-in soft start feature.
