DESCRIPTION

· The NJU6051 is a white LED driver with automatic dimming control, integrating an output driver, PWM controller, luminance sensor control, step-up DC/DC converter, and serial interface.

· It supports a maximum output of 30mA, enabling the connection of up to 8 white LEDs in a 4 series x 2 parallel configuration.

· The PWM controller adjusts the duty cycle in 8 steps from 64, based on ambient light detected by an external luminance sensor.

· High-frequency operation of the DC/DC converter allows the use of compact inductors and capacitors, ideal for space-constrained applications.

· Designed for battery-powered portable devices like cellular phones, camcorders, and PDAs.
