DESCRIPTION

· The ASL2416SHN is a two-channel buck mode LED driver IC designed for automotive lighting applications.

· It delivers constant average DC current to LEDs, independent of input voltage, and supports up to two output channels.

· The IC operates with input voltages from 10V to 80V and can drive up to 20 LEDs per channel with a maximum output current of 1.5A per channel.

· It features an SPI interface for control and diagnostics, adjustable hysteresis for optimizing external components, and a measurement capability for detecting LED open or short circuit conditions.

· The ASL2416SHN is housed in a compact HV QFN32 package with an exposed thermal pad and is AEC Q100 grade 1 qualified, operating from -40°C to +125°C.



FEATURES

· Hysteretic buck DC-to-DC topology for flexible system design.

· Adjustable hysteresis to minimize LED current ripple.

· Output voltage up to 70V with diagnostic features for LED open/short circuit detection.

· Input under-voltage lockout and thermal shutdown at +175°C.

· SPI interface for extensive control and diagnostic communication with an external microcontroller.
