DESCRIPTION

· The Altera Enpirion EC7401QI is a 4-phase PWM controller designed for microprocessor core voltage regulation.
· It drives up to 4 synchronous-rectified buck channels in parallel, utilizing multiphase buck converter architecture.
· The device features precision RDS(ON) or DCR differential current sensing for accurate load-line programming and channel-current balancing.
· It includes a high bandwidth control loop and ripple frequencies up to >4MHz for optimal transient response.
· The EC7401QI supports VID voltage scaling technology with an 8-bit VID input and operates within a 0.5V to 1.6V range.
· It offers integrated programmable temperature compensation and threshold-sensitive enable function for power sequencing.

· System accuracy of ±0.5% over life, load, line, and temperature.
· Adjustable precision reference-voltage offset.
