Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The TL494 is a PWM control circuit integrating all necessary functions on a single chip.

· It includes two error amplifiers, an adjustable oscillator, a dead-time control comparator, and a 5-V precision regulator.

· Supports push-pull or single-ended output operations, selectable via output-control function.

· Operates from 0°C to 70°C, with a variant (TL494I) from –40°C to 85°C.



FEATURES

· Complete PWM power-control circuitry with uncommitted outputs for 200-mA sink or source current.

· Internal circuitry prevents double pulse at outputs; variable dead time control.

· Internal 5-V reference supply with 5% tolerance; easy synchronization capability.

· Used in desktop PCs, microwave ovens, and various power supplies including AC/DC and isolated types.

· Suitable for server PSUs, solar micro-inverters, and washing machines across low-end and high-end models.
