DESCRIPTION

· The NCA9535 is a 16-bit I²C/SMBus GPIO expander with interrupt, operating from 1.65 V to 5.5 V.

· It features 8-bit input, output, configuration, and polarity inversion registers.

· At power-up, all IOs default to inputs, configurable via the configuration register.

· Includes an open-drain interrupt output activated by GPIO state changes.

· Three address pins (A0, A1, A2) allow up to eight devices on the same I²C-bus/SMBus.

· I²C-bus to parallel port expander with 1.65 V to 5.5 V operating range.

· Low standby current: 2.5 µA (max).

· Schmitt-trigger inputs for noise immunity, Vhys = 0.10 × V CC (typ).

· 5 V tolerant I/Os, 16 I/O pins default to input at power-up.

· Open-drain active LOW interrupt output, 400 kHz Fast-mode I²C-bus.

· Internal power-on reset, no glitch on power-up, 25 mA drive capability.

· ESD protection: HBM >2000 V, CDM >1000 V.

· Packages: TSSOP24, HWQFN24; operating range: -40 °C to +85 °C.
