DESCRIPTION

· The PCA9535 is a 16-bit I²C/SMBus GPIO expander with interrupt output and configuration registers.
· It operates at a voltage range of 2.3 V to 5.5 V and features an open-drain interrupt output.
· The device includes 8-bit Input, Output, Configuration, and Polarity inversion registers.
· At power-up, all I/Os default to inputs, and each I/O can be configured as input or output.
· The PCA9535 supports up to eight devices on the same I²C-bus/SMBus using three address pins (A0, A1, A2).

· Ultra-low standby current consumption: 1 µA (maximum).
· Schmitt-trigger action for slow input transition and noise immunity.
