DESCRIPTION

· The SKY81290 is a high-efficiency, 1.2 A high current boost converter with a programmable constant current sink, ideal for LED photo flash applications in single cell, Li-ion powered products.

· It maintains output current regulation by switching internal high-side and low-side switch transistors at a fixed frequency of 2.0 MHz.

· The device uses Skyworks' proprietary AS2Cwire™ digital interface for enabling, disabling, configuring, and programming its operation.

· It includes features like a separate flash enable input, flash inhibit pin, and a thermal management system for protection.

· Available in 14-pin, 3 x 3 mm and 3 x 2 mm TDFN packages.

· Single channel flash output with up to 1.2 A regulated output current and up to 88% efficiency.

· Separate flash enable and single resistor sets Flash and Movie Mode current.
