DESCRIPTION

· The X9420 is a monolithic CMOS integrated circuit featuring a single digitally controlled potentiometer (XDCP).
· It utilizes 63 resistive elements with tap points connected to a wiper terminal via switches, controlled via an SPI bus interface.
· Includes a volatile Wiper Counter Register (WCR) and four nonvolatile Data Registers (DR0:DR3) for direct user access.
· Upon power-up, the WCR is loaded with the contents of DR0.
· Can function as a three-terminal potentiometer or a two-terminal variable resistor.

· Operates with power supplies: VCC = 2.7V to 5.5V, V+ = 2.7V to 5.5V, V– = -2.7V to -5.5V.

· 8-bytes of nonvolatile EEPROM memory.
· Available in 10 kΩ or 2.5 kΩ resistor arrays with 64 taps each.
