DESCRIPTION

· The RT9214 is a high-efficiency synchronous buck PWM controller designed for generating logic-supply voltages in PC-based systems.

· It operates at a fixed 300kHz frequency, balancing efficiency, external component size, and cost.

· The device integrates control, output adjustment, monitoring, and protection functions, including internal soft-start and frequency compensation networks.

· It features adjustable over-current protection (OCP) that monitors the voltage drop across the R_DS(ON) of the lower MOSFET, with fault protection in 4-times hiccup mode and under-voltage protection in always hiccup mode.
